Routine maintenance is the most important thing you can do to protect your RV — and your travel plans. At Matt in the Hat RV, we approach maintenance with the same care and relationship-first mindset that defines all of our services. We don’t just “check boxes.” We make sure your RV is reliable, safe, and prepared for every mile ahead.

RVs experience more vibration, movement, and environmental exposure than almost any other type of vehicle or home system. That means seals dry out, appliances wear down, electrical components loosen, and critical systems lose efficiency over time. Proper maintenance extends the life of your RV, keeps systems running correctly, and protects you from unexpected failures on the road.
Regular maintenance isn’t an expense — it’s an investment that reduces future repair bills, increases resale value, and ensures your RV is safe for you and your family. With our 25+ years of hands-on trade experience and thousands of miles spent traveling in RVs ourselves, you’ll always know your home-on-wheels is in good hands
Our maintenance service is designed to keep every essential part of your RV in strong working order. While every RV is unique, our process generally includes a detailed inspection and servicing of the most important components: roof and exterior seal health, furnace and AC performance, water system function, electrical system stability, propane safety, appliance performance, and tire condition. We check for wear, damage, leaks, efficiency issues, and potential failures before they have the chance to interrupt your travel season.
If we identify anything that needs attention, we explain the issue clearly, give you simple options, and help you make the best decision for your RV and your budget. No pressure. No jargon. Just honest service.
Regular RV maintenance dramatically reduces the risk of expensive emergency repairs. By catching small problems early, you avoid system failures that could derail a trip or leave you stranded. You’ll experience fewer breakdowns, better climate control, safer electrical usage, and longer-lasting appliances. Your RV will operate more efficiently, and you’ll have greater peace of mind knowing everything has been inspected by trained, certified professionals.
Just as importantly, we help you stay ahead of seasonal needs — from pre-trip checkups to end-of-season shutdowns — so you can move with confidence instead of scrambling when something goes wrong.

Most RVs benefit from a full maintenance service once a year, or every 10–12 months of regular use. For full-timers or frequent travelers, a biannual check is recommended. Seasonal checks before summer and before winter also help prevent surprises.
Maintenance is preventative — it keeps your RV operating safely and efficiently before problems occur. Repairs address specific issues after something breaks, leaks, or fails. Staying current on maintenance significantly reduces the need for costly repair work later.
A standard maintenance appointment usually takes between one to three hours, depending on the size of your RV and the condition of its systems. If we find anything that needs extra attention, we’ll go over it with you before doing any additional work.
Absolutely. Transparency is one of our core values. If we notice anything worth watching or fixing, we explain it clearly, show you the problem, and offer recommended next steps. You’re always in control of the decisions.
Not much! Just make sure we can access the main systems—inside and out. Emptying storage compartments isn't necessary unless something is blocking access to a specific area we need to inspect.

We bring reliable, high-quality mobile RV service right to your driveway, campsite, or storage lot. Wherever your RV is, we come to you.
Your RV deserves a maintenance plan that keeps you on the road and out of the repair shop. If you’re ready for dependable care from a team that treats your RV like their own, we’d love to take great care of you.
